No! b/w Let It Be Me, E.H.F.Y.A. 506. Year of release is most likely 1969. This is a listing for a sensationally rare copy of one of the Voices Of East Harlem's earliest tracks. Both tracks were recorded on the megarare 1970 Elektra LP Right On, Be Free. A 45 of the title track was released (their first commercial 45) in 1970 with No! No! No! on the flip side. To my knowledge, Let It Be Me was never released on a 45 anywhere worldwide. If you are not familiar with these tracks, you simply have to listen to them! Let It Be Me is the classic Everly Bros. song, but it is done in a magnificent Gospel style. No! No! No! will cause you to want to get up, clap your hands, and jump up and down! Sadly, the Voices of East Harlem were billed as an R & B Soul group, but they really were truly Gospel in the fullest sense of the word. Although I listen to my CD copy of the record, I enjoy it more EACH TIME I listen to it (How many records can you say that about?)! The Voices of East Harlem made their now-legendary historic debut on December 31, 1969 when they performed with Jimi Hendrix and the Band Of Gypsies at the Fillmore East. Although I am not totally certain, this record was most likely released in 1969 and could be the only release by the Voices Of East Harlem from the 1960's! The record visually and play grades in strong VG++ to near mint condition. The record is made of vinyl and not styrene. It appears that virtually all original luster remains remaining. The labels are like new. I have owned this record for nearly 20 years and have never seen or heard of another copy like it. The record was play graded on an audiophile system employing Basis Ovation, Graham Industries, Transfiguration, Sound Applications, and Jeff Rowland componentry.
