Background -

This mono LP is a historical recording of this work, recorded in 1944. It features the Beethoven Eroica symphony (No. 3) performed by Wilhelm Furtwangler conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Superb performance throughout! The LP was made in the USA and issued in the early 1960s, in superb condition given it's age (see below for details).

    CONDITION Details:

    The LP jacket is in excellent plus condition! The jacket is tight and clean, with NO seam splits. The corners and seams are a bit weakened due to age and shelf wear, nothing serious. The colors on the jacket are sharp and most of the original shrink wrap is still on the record jacket. Considering the age of the LP, the jacket is in excellent plus condition (see pictures with this listing as they are of the actual item). 

    The LP is in excellent plus condition! The vinyl may have some very light marks - these are simply spider marks caused by sliding the LP in and out of the inner sleeve. Such marks may sound on some audio systems depending on the sensitivity of your gear. However, the LP does retain most of the original gloss and sheen. The LP does not have many serious spindle marks on the record labels. That said, acquiring a vintage LP like this is for the performance and rarity of the LP, not necessarily for the sound quality.

    A Short Note About LP GRADING -

    • Mint = Only used for sealed items.
    • Near Mint = Virtually flawless in every way.
    • Near Mint Minus = Item has some minor imperfections, some audible.
    • Excellent = Item obviously played and enjoyed with some noise.
    • Very Good Plus = Many more imperfections which are noticeable and obtrusive.

    For best results, always thoroughly clean your LPs before playing them.

    LPs can be audiophile quality pressings (any collector of fine MFSL, half speeds, direct to discs, Japanese/UK pressings etc., can attest to the difference a quality pressing can make to an audio system).
