Victor Aleksandrovich Pikaizen (Feb the 15th 1933, Kiev) — Soviet violinist, winner of international contests, people's artist of the RSFSR, Professor of Moscow Conservatory. He began Learning to play the violin at the age of five, in 1939-1941 he studied in the Music school at the Kiev Conservatory, in 1941-1944 in evacuation in Alma-ATA, then — at the Moscow secondary special music school named. Gnessin state musical College in the class of David Oistrakh. Also Oistrakh taught Pikaizen at the Moscow Conservatory, in 1960 he graduated graduate school. He is the only student of Oistrakh, which was learning from the school until the end of graduate school. From the beginning of 1960-ies leads an active concert activity. One of the few who played 78 times all the caprices of Paganini at various concerts, the last one was in 2004 in Milan with great success. Acts and now. Winner of second prizes at competitions in Prague (1949), Paris (1957), Moscow (Tchaikovsky Competition, 1958), winner of the Paganini competition in 1965. From 1966 to 1986 and from 2006 and currently teaches at the Moscow Conservatoire, since 1993 — Professor of the State Conservatory in Ankara (Turkey). Also Professor of violin at MGIM. Schnittke and the Central music school at the Moscow Conservatory. Invited in jury of various competitions. There is no info about him in wikipedia. However he was VERY important part of Soviet classical music. Hello collectors!!!
