His VTL Music, to showcase the sound of Their recording equipment and demonstrate their minimalist
   [Live-to-2-track] recording techniques. They built a 30' x 40' studio from the ground up, designed
   and built every element of the recording chain, and playback / monitor chain. They even set up a
   mastering facility for  CDR digital mastering!

The plan was to record acoustic instruments in a fairly 'live' studio with only a single pair of micro-
   -phones and a very pure and simple signal path.  Everything about this studio was custom made for
   this project, from the room's acoustic design to the recording signal path. 

Absolutely no artificial reverberation! no 'accent' mikes! no signal processing! no equalization! and
   no compression! In short,the natural sound of the instruments was captured in the room without
   electronic 'enhancement' - the result beeing the most "lif(v)e-like" HighEnd recordings to date!!!!!

Please remember that ALL LP's, regardless of condition, will have an occasional light "tic" and should be cleaned by a VPI (or equivalent) professional LP cleaner. In many cases, a simple damp cotton cloth, used VERY carefully, will clean LPs sufficiently.
