Description

2-LPs (stereo), packaged in separate sleeves. David Manley was a genius working with tube electronics, but seemed to lack any sense of visual beauty, and the packaging of his admirable recordings is even klunkier than the look of his equally admirable amplifiers. On the other hand, these recordings made in the studio he designed to be ideal for recording and made with his own microphones and tube electronics are sonic sensations. Powell (guitar) leads a quartet in a program of eight numbers, mostly originals. Records NM, jackets NM-.
