Recorded: 1967 and 1968 ~ release date: 1987.  Running time: 21:40 (approx).

On offer here is a HIGHLY COLLECTABLE original issue of THE VALENTINES self-titled CLARION compilation album, with BON SCOTT (pre-FRATERNITY and AC/DC) sharing lead vocal duties with VINCE LOVEGROVE.  This album contains the A & B-sides of the group’s four CLARION 7” singles, and a previously unissued track “Sooky Sooky”.

The highlights of this album for me are “Peculiar Hole In The Sky”, and their renditions of the SMALL FACES “I Can’t Dance With You” and SOFT MACHINE’s “Love Makes Sweet Music”.

EX+ beautiful appearance overall, very minor handling wear only (spotting, very light ring-wear)

Record:

VG+ visual: CLEAN COPY overall with some hairline scuffs; sporadic heat haze across both sides, certainly not overwhelming (hence the lower grading); audible: highly enjoyable and vibrant sound, despite some underlying surface noise; labels: NO spindle wear whatsoever (well almost, insignificant amount on side 2)!
