AN ELUSIVE PROGMONSTER!!!! IN MY OPINION ONE OF THE TOP 5 PROG ALBUMS EVER MADE!!VINYL IN A UNIQUE EX CONDITION!!!FIRST PRESS PINK SCROLL  LABELS!!!ULTRA RARE!!!

 

 

In the last few years I have only come across a few copies of this great Van Der Graaf album which in my opinion is the pinnacle of musicianship in the early seventies and the best Van der Graaf album with Robert Fripp helping out on  guitar.  An existential progressive masterpiece and in my opinion even better than "H To He .." . Sensational sound quality, NO skips or jumps. NO clicks,  NO crackle or static noise, this is really a stunning heavy vinyl with a beautiful deep gloss. This vinyl has not been played much !!! A definite EX!!!  There are only wispy hairlines, totally inaudible on replay. Don't be mistaken, this is a great quality vinyl, worthy of inclusion into a great prog collection!!! Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled.

 

I have played this in FULL> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more in-depth observation. Of course there are NO skips, jumps, clicks or sticks. Unbelievably as it may sound there is not any  background noise at all. Impossible to find for this 1971 vinyl!!!   Great but often obtuse existential songcraft and it was not a wonder that Van Der Graaf did not sell to the amount that e.g. Yes and Genesis did.  I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing B&W three way speakers!!!

 

Vinyl: EX , a final upgrade. This is a seriously desirable album and very rare in this great condition!!! For all my regulars in Italy, Russia, Japan and the States, you know who you are, it does not get much better than this. The Pink Scrolls of any Van Der Graaf album are golddust and very hard indeed to still find!!! This one still has the original inner lyric sheet!!!

 

Gatefold sleeve: EX.  E.J. Day Group sleeve. Rarely seen like this!!!! NO CREASES, NO WRITING!! Only very minimal rubbing on the edges. This is a matt sleeve and has only very minimal handling rub marks, NO writing, a  great sleeve. The inside gatefold picture is fantastic, untouched. The winner of this auction is going to salivate over this!!!!

This comes with the original LYRICS inner sheet. From the bottom it has one tiny tear. Otherwise EX condition. The LP comes in its original polylined inner sleeve.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible, LEAVE ALONE IN THIS STUNNING EX CONDITION!!!

 

Labels are NM with only minor spindling.
