Van Der Graaf Generator - The Least We Can Do Is Wave To Each Other

Charisma-CAS 1007-STEREO-LP-1970

Pink scroll label, remix, matrices read CAS 1007 A+G/B+G, gatefold sleeve, with rare limited edition poster - M/M

An immaculate example of an early progressive rock classic. Its outer packaging shows no wear, it is a fine copy that plays well, the treble is crisp and clean, the bass is full and undistorted. Sounds magnificent on the stereogram that I use to assess the surface condition.

The inside faces of the gatefold are clean and bright, there are no tears, scratches or hand written notes.

Please bear in mind that these pictures are the actual item that you will receive if your bid is successful. No stock photos means no surprises.

No ageing, no creasing nor spine damage

Printed and made by Garrard & Lofthouse Ltd.Patents pending

The vinyl is clean and sparkling, there is very slight evidence of spindle rubbing, but no  scratches, the audio quality is fantastic.

Both inner sleeves are in a mint condition, this item is 42 years old and its contents have been very well cared for.

The matrix stamps are CAS + 1007 + A + G and CAS + 1007 + B + G respectively.

The inner sleeves are the original plain white die cut. The insides themselves are intact and clean.

I use the Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide, shown below for your reference, for grading the sleeve and vinyl separately. Sturdy thick card mailers are used for each single/double album. Multiple albums are boxed and bubble wrapped.

The poster is in great condition, it has never been mounted, no sellotape, no bluetack, no pins, no tears.

The folds and creases are well defined as it's been stored inside the sleeve.

I accept Paypal (Preferred), Personal Cheque (UK Only), Postal Order (UK Only).

Postage cost will be £3.65 for 1st Class Signed For in the UK.

Add £1.00 for P&P for each item after the first one, up to four more.

Record Collector's Grading System

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover or any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packing might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite notable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.

Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler.
