This is "The Least We Can Do is Wave To Each Other" UK 1st Press LP by Van Der Graaf Generator

The 2nd LP released by Van Der Graaf Generator.

The LP was bought on its release in 1970, and is a 1st pressing.

The vinyl is on the collectable pink CHARISMA 'scroll' label, number CAS 1007 and has the following early 1st press matrix numbers:

  • Side 1:    CAS+1007+A+G
  • Side 2:    CAS+1007+B+G

VINYL

Visual

Record is EX the vinyl has no scratches, just a few feint sleeve scuffs, with just a few spindle marks on the record label.

PLAYTEST

The LP plays very well,  is quiet between tracks, with no pops, bangs, jumping or sticking,

with just some slight background noise and a couple of soft pips during the very quiet beginning to Track 1 side 1 and in some of the quieter moments, .

COVER

The cover is VG,  and is an unlaminated gatefold cover.

There is partial ringwear on the front and back cover, and general handling wear.

Due to the unlaminated cover and its age, there is wear on the corners and edges.

The spine has wear, mostly along one edge.

The inside of the gatefold has slight discolour and some age marks along the top (see photo), but otherwise no damage or writing.

INSERT

The record comes with the original lyrics sheet which is G+

The corners have sellotape marks and one corner cut off (see picture), otherwise it is in reasonable shape.

The record will be packed in a stiff package specifically designed for sending vinyl throught the post, with added protection on the corners
