This is a stunning UK original first pressing of the 'H To HE Who Am The Only One'' LP.

NOTE: ALL UK first pressings have a small pressing fault in that there is a 'locked groove' in the middle of 'Killer'. This comes at the very end of the 'apocalypse' section after the 'death in the sea' bit, just before the song resolves itself into the main riff / melody. It is very possible that this locked groove goes unnoticed on many turntables but I have only ever used the best turntable / arm / cartridge I could afford and every UK first pressing I have ever owned (and there have been several over the last 25 years!) have done the same thing in the same place.

This 'locked groove' is not a scratch. It doesn't 'click' at all. There is no obvious loss of sound quality and there is absolutely NO visible mark on the vinyl at this point at all. - The instrumental refrain just repeats itself endlessly! This actually sounds as if it is meant to happen and I've spent a long time trying to find out if it was a deliberate studio 'trick'. I finally got a very brief chance to ask Peter Hammill about it and he told me that it was 'probably due to the intensity of the playing during the recording of the track'...! - So I'm still not certain of the story behind this.... I CAN, however, be absolutely 100% certain that every single -1 / -1 matrix UK first pressing LP does exactly the same thing in exactly the same place!

Original pink Charisma 'scroll' labels with B&C Records credits - Both in absolutely perfect / mint condition apart from a couple of extremely light, small spindle marks.

Original E.J. Day gatefold sleeve with B&C Records credits to the rear. These original sleeves are very fragile. The printing rubs off very easily and they are extremely prone to wear. This one is in lovely 'excellent-plus' condition with just a little light, storage wear, a few light rubs and just the start of some very light ringwear. This is a really nice clean and straight example with no splits, rips, tears, major creases, sticker marks or ringwear. The spine and edges have a few light rubs but are otherwise perfect. The inner gatefold is clean and bright with just a tiny amount of storage wear.

The LP itself has been played just once from new and is in stunning very, very (very!) near mint condition - Perfect and as new except for a couple of extremely light, small surface marks caused by the paper inner sleeve. Good thick original vinyl in as close to true unplayed / mint condition as you could ever hope to find after 25 years!

A really lovely UK original first pressing. You will never see another one like this!
