Description
Vinyl was play tested through Focal Elegia's and it played as NM-. I numerically scored the vinyl a 96 relative to very light surface noise at the start of the first track on the A-side, and a couple of what sounded like missed flecks of dust on B1 & B4 toward the end both track. Overall the album played super quiet and sounded wicked good. A visual inspection reveals some light marks and that is driving the Excellent rating and visually this is about as close to NM as can be.
Also, this is the fifth Japanese pressing I've played and the issue at the start of A1 was on my personal Japanese pressing of this album along with the issues on B5; on A1 (Runnin) it sounded like a little 'blur' within the first 3 seconds or so. On B5 (Ice Cream Man) it sounds like Dave was too close to the microphone on a few of the lines during the acoustic intro to the track. This was present on my Japanese copy as well as well as my two other original American copies of the album to a bit of a lesser degree (a first US edition and a club edition) however was not present on the new remaster (and that sounds wicked good too). The issue with A1 was not present on the US albums.
The sleeve is scored as EX relative to light corner wear which I have attempted to capture in the pictures. I am scoring this sleeve a 93 which is my top of the excellent spectrum and is about as perfect as your going to find.
Album will be mailed in a cardboard mailer between cardboard with bubble wrap. If you have any questions please let me know and thanks for looking!
