Hi there my friends,
Up for sale is a highly desirable and very first original Warner Seven Arts pressing with green W7 label of Van Morrison "Astral Weeks." As mentioned in the listing title, the LP is a player copy. Upon visual examination, the record shows great promise with luster and life to it. Some scratches here and there. --The main issue is playback. One or possibly two noticeable pops early on in Madame George and rather noticeable surface noise throughout. I wouldn't say vinyl is by any means bad, but it is much more so a G+ listen and visually at VG-. As I say, noticeable one or two pops and consistent surface noise. No skips and absolutely no repeats. But discernable surface noise as mentioned already and perhaps tick here and there.
The album cover is rather nice. Seams are beginning to break but no splits yet. Original Warner W7 inner sleeve. Black marker marking on back. Cover looks really awesome free of the usual wear and ring wear this album comes with.
A nice chance to grab an original W7 pressing of this record. But alas- it truly is a player/play/collection sake copy. Not a top of the line condition copy. I still think it has some value to the right person and has worth, also surely is something to still be proud to own. I will adjust the auction start price accordingly and allow the value to be determined.
