WS 1835 Van Morrison "Moondance": Original UK orange label with black lettering. Very thick vinyl released in 1970.

I loved this record and it has been played but cherished.

Today I've played both sides of the disc for sound quality on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with JPW speakers and was impressed at the clarity given that I've become accustomed to the clean sound of CDs. There are 'frying bacon' sounds at the beginning of each side but they soon fade. The disc lies flat and has no warping or kinks and no jumps. In my opinion the sound quality is very nice indeed with beautifully clear and undistorted reproduction.

Vinyl is in excellent condition with just a few small, minor marks which can only be seen under a spot light. These are light and don't affect the sound quality. Labels have spindle marks but otherwise free of any blemishes.

Cover is still in good shape with some loss of print where it's been sliding in and out of my collection. It has a slight embossed disc shape around where the vinyl record sat which is seen only as you get close. Spine has lost some print and corners worn. Inner sleeve is original paper one made in 'Western Germany' and isn't even sepia tinted!

I am downsizing and want to find a new home for this much loved album and others (see other items for sale).

LP must be "signed for" which costs a little more than standard.
