EMI ASD 507, made in UK. First issue, white/gold label. Flipback cover. Original inner sleeve. No golden EMI stereo sticker on cover (as issued, I believe).

Condition
A true near mint copy. Gloss and feel like if played just once or twice, very newish impression. No visible defects. On side 1 there's a pair of inconsequential, infinitely light and barely visible minor paper dust lines; i.e., lightly cosmetic only if discovered. Labels lustrous like new with maybe two spindle marks each side.

I have played both sides through. With my equipment I did not register a single disturbing defect. Surfaces are very silent but on each side there will be in toto up to a dozen times when soft vinyl presence briefly tells we are playing a vintage original. Reproduction of sound is perfect: absolutely clean, colourful and dynamic, not any loss anywhere - NO end-of-side distortion etc. Softest sound comes through undisturbed. A very happy copy.

Cover has one 12 cm long crease across upper left front corner (not visible on back), which is obvious but tempered a lot by the white colour of cover. That corner is also somewhat crushed. One 2 cm crease also from front top edge (before "stereo"). On back, the top flap has a 2 cm piece missing at extreme right (corner above "ASD 507"). Since everything otherwise is so white and newish around this defect, it doesn't look so bad. Light superficial wear in parts of extreme bottom edge. Look at the larger picture.

No splits! No cracks! No writing! No stickers! No ring wear! No water damage! No laminate lift! No dirt! No spine damages (except the 10 mm associated with the upper corner crushing). Cover is exceptionally white and newish looking on both sides. Opening is very tight, inner sleeve little touched, confirming a little used copy.

Comment
It's such a fun and top sounding recording! Those basses and trombone... Easy to understand the high demand. Must be one of the better sounding old ASDs. ASD 507 is also quite scarce which unfortunately, for the buyer, means a rather high price. (£250 = $430 with some crazy British dealers.)

This is a gorgeous looking *and* playing copy. Reserve is very reasonable. Good luck.

Grading of records: Twenty years of experience collecting classical, more than ten years dealing with rare items. Grading is descriptive and verbal, all deviations from perfect surfaces are described explicitly. Formal grading codes are rarely used, because they are abused by others and have to some extent lost their meaning. All records are professionally cleaned by a Keith Monks cleaning machine before grading. Most records are put in a new Nagaoka-style inner sleeve after cleaning, inside the original inner sleeve.

Packing: Packing is very safely done. Inside an outer box, the records are placed between two very stiff cardboard pieces larger than the records themselves. The records cannot move one millimeter. Still, if you like, discs and jackets may be separated (a procedure used anyhow when judged beneficial for safety).
Shipping & insurance: Shipping is a service asked and paid for by the buyer, with insurance as an option. Thus seller cannot be held responsible for losses in the mail if uninsured. However, not one single damage so far and Sweden offers a very high quality postal system. In case of a problem, we will assist with our full resources.
Cancellation of bids: Bidders with zero, low or negative feedback or many bid retractions may be cancelled, and so may bidders from acknowledged scam regions. Bidders with less than 10 feedbacks or below 95% not accepted, unless pre-approved by klassik33. Contact us before bidding.
