Here is the 7 track UK LP/ Album Street Sounds Electro 4 by Various Artists from 1984. Featured artists include Run-D.M.C., Cybotron, Herbie Hancock, Radio Active, Key-Matic, The VHB and Pumpkin And The Profile All-Stars. Housed in a card picture sleeve & released on Street Sounds, the Catalogue Number is ELCST 4. The record itself is housed within a plain paper inner sleeve. The track listing is Steps Ahead by Radio Active, Here Comes That Beat! By Pumpkin And The Profile All-Stars, Mega Mix by Herbie Hancock, Sucker M.C..’s by Run-D.M.C., Breakin’ In Space by Key-Matic, Beethoven’s Fifth (Street) Symphony by The VHB and Techno City by Cybotron. I assume the package was made in the UK for UK release.
Side 1 Matrix: ELCST 004·A1 (12 o’clock) ELCST - 4 A1 (11 o’clock) V (7 o’clock) one U (9 o’clock) (one U may be wrong)
Side 2 Matrix: ELCST 004 B1 ELCST 004 B1 (12 o’clock) (one ELCST 004 B1 is located above the other) ELCST - 4 B1 (12 o’clock) :) (4 o’clock) V (9 o’clock)
I believe this information indicates that it comes from the First Pressing run. The Matrix Numbers are described using a clock face. The first part is the main body of the Matrix Number. It will be at 6 o’clock if it is located in front of the label with the writing curving away from me at the ends (as I look) and at 12 o’clock if it is located behind the label with the writing curving towards me at the ends (as I look). Other times give a rough idea of where additional parts of the Matrix Number are located, in relation to the main part. It’s not meant to be foolproof, just to give an idea of where the various parts of the matrix are, in relation to each other.
Condition as follows including photographs: The sleeve is in excellent minus condition. The inner sleeve is in very good condition. The Vinyl is in excellent minus/ very good plus condition. Both sides play through well, with no jumping, skipping or sticking. The overall sound is excellent. There is very occasional slight/ minimal surface noise, mostly in quieter passages & between tracks. I don’t think the surface noise is invasive & so would not expect it to affect your listening pleasure. I always expect some surface noise from records of this age & condition. See below for NOTES ON CONDITION*.Postage charges as follows: UK £4.00. Will be sent as Royal Mail 2nd Class Standard- Small Parcel to UK destinations as this is a UK only transaction. PLEASE NOTE: Royal Mail Postage charges may be higher than you would expect. I ship at cost, including my packaging (which may also cost more than you would expect, if you don’t send parcels yourself). If you would like the item, please use this information to determine whether to proceed with your purchase. This applies to ALL UK buyers. I will combine multiple purchases (where compatible) so by all means buy as many items as you want (within Royal Mail Size & Weight Limits). If you purchase more than one item please don't pay until I have contacted you. I will send you an invoice with revised Postage. Although I try to keep costs down where possible by using Standard services, where multiple purchases are made it may sometimes be necessary to use other options. UK Standard services only offer compensation up to £20.00. UK Signed For services offer compensation up to £50.00 while UK Special Delivery services offer compensation up to £2500.00. For buyer & seller peace of mind, I may adjust the postage rate when sending an invoice.
*NOTES ON CONDITION: I grade according to the Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide & will not necessarily list all individual points in the written description. There will be a blanket grade for each component (sleeve, record etc), which smaller factors fall into. The general appearance will be clearly visible in the photographs. Please study the photographs in detail as they form the bulk of the description. Please be aware that play grading is based on my interpretation of what I hear on my system only. Although it is an honest assessment, it does not automatically follow that you would reach the same conclusion when listening on your own system, as there are so many variables. I DON’T use Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide categories when play grading, just my own judgement.
You shouldn’t have any problems with the transaction but please contact me first if you do.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
