The Grammy®-winning release, Concert for George, is available on vinyl. This 4-LP 180 gram Box Set includes the complete sound recordings from Concert for George, featuring a special, etched mandala-design on side-8. On November 29, 2002, one year after the passing of George Harrison, Olivia Harrison and Eric Clapton organized a performance tribute in his honor. Held at London's Royal Albert Hall, the momentous evening featured George's songs, and music he loved, performed by artists including Clapton, Joe Brown, Dhani Harrison, Jools Holland, Jeff Lynne, Paul McCartney, Monty Python, Tom Petty, Billy Preston, Ravi & Anoushka Shankar, Ringo Starr and more.
Concert for George, captures stunning renditions of some of the most significant music of the 20th century, including “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” (performed by Clapton, McCartney and Starr), “Taxman” (performed by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and “The Inner Light” (covered by Jeff Lynne and Anoushka Shankar). This is a spectacular performance by all and continues to shine as one of the best tributes ever assembled for a musician of George Harrison’s influence.
