Description
Up for sale is a double vinyl record set titled "Music and Rhythm": A Benefit Double LP for a World of Music, Arts and Dance (WOMAD). On the Warner Brothers Int'l label and marketed by JIM Records. Catalogue number PVC 201. This is a great sampling of artists from around the world some familiar as in Peter Gabriel, Pete Townsend, Shankar, XTC, The Beat, David Byrne and some unfamiliar to those not familiar with World Music artists. This record is signed by Jon Hassell, one of the contributing artists. The outer jacket is in fair condition as it was pre-owned when I acquired it and did and still shows signs of being handled with fingering along the outer edges and slight marks of age. I'm not sure where the set was made/pressed. This compilation was produced by Martin Marchat and Stephen Marchat. From 1982. I have not listened to these records for some time now and I currently do not have a turntable so I cannot give a refresher listen. The artists and tracks are as follows:

1: Drummers from Burundi 2: Peter Gabriel-Across the River 3: Ekome-Kpan Logo 4: XTC-It's Nearly Africa 5: Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulai & his Dagbamba Cultural Group
