Description

Selling-up my large record collection.
Originally released in 2007, this MOV audiophile 180-gm version was created in 2010. At which point I decided to buy one. Four LPs of music recorded for the film, other artists making cover-versions of Dylan songs, plus the previously unreleased original Bob Dylan basement tapes song, "I'm Not There". Good to great cover versions - there was a backing band created for the project, to back various artists who didn't have a band, or didn't bring it with them - The Million Dollar Bashers, who included Tom Verlaine. My third and fourth pictures zoom-in on the tracklist, so you can see who plays what songs.
Pictures are my own photos of the items for sale. Photos are part of the description, have a good look.
Cover - a single cover, which is still in its (opened) shrink-wrap. This is in excellent condition - tiny bump on the top edge at the opening. Four printed colour inners on light card with pics from the film and details of who played on which track. These are also in excellent condition.
Records - generally excellent, but close examination showed-up various little flaws. i have examined many records in the course of selling my large collection, and I sometimes see straight-line surface marks on first tracks of LPs - which relate to where edges on cover flip-backs are - the inners for this set have internal flip-backs. I wonder if LPs are sometimes put in the sleeves while still slightly warm, so they pick-up an impression from the flip-backs. Such marks are not audible. Generally if I say something's a "lightest" scratch or mark, or "surface", also not likely to be audible. Side one - has a row of little light impacts on track 1. A mark on the lead-in and into track 1.  Side two - has a lightest scratch on track2, and there are 3 long totally-surface marks, on tracks 2 to 4. Side three - two of those long straight surface marks on track 1. Lightest scratch starts on track 3 and crosses track 4. side four - has a very small stylus impact on track 2. Side five - has a surface mark on track 1. Side six - has a fingernail-type impression on last track - actually caused by scraping on the turntable spindle. I hate it when that happens.. Also two tiny flat impacts at the start of track 1.  Side seven - has another of those straight-line marks on track 1. Also a paper-scuff, which develops into little scratches on track 2, going into track 3.  Side eight - has a very short fingernail impact on track 1, this is heavy at one end, less heavy at the other. Again, one of those straight-line marks on track 1. So, a conscientious list of flaws there, but very little that you'll actually hear any audible effect from.
When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.
Postage at cost within UK - £3.20 plus 50p for a proper record mailer with two stiffener sheets of cardboard (or whatever's appropriate). Happy to do combined postage wherever practical. I'll charge you what it costs me - so anything up to six (or so) LPs would still be the same charge, £3.70. One can send up to 2 kilos for £3.20. For UK buyers - if you buy several items on the same day, and you're looking for combined postage, don't pay, and message me to ask for an invoice that includes combined postage.
Dispatch will usually be "next day", if you pay promptly. My auctions end on Sundays, and I post on Monday afternoon. I only go out to post once a week, during lockdown, so if I receive payment after 14.00 Monday, parcel goes into the next Monday's posting.  Collection in person is usually welcome, but not at present, when there are lockdown rules in effect, which forbid it.
I'm happy to send this overseas. See below for details, if bidding from outside UK - YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS STUFF.
I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer. They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer. This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices.
Please be sure that you understand what the postal charges will be, before bidding.
E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme. Charges to the customer for delivery and customs charges are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the postal / courier charges individually for the items, then do not bid.  HOWEVER, if you win several items, and pay for them all in the same payment, their system may well spot this and do combined postage. If this happens, pay what you're told, and I will refund the excess postage paid to me - if you buy three LPs, I would be getting three lots of £3.70, but I can send all in one parcel, so I only need one lot of £3.70, usually. The exception is, if the items you buy weigh more than 2 kilos altogether, I need to make two parcels - there is a special cheap postage rate in UK, for parcels under 2 kilos.
Overseas customers - please DON'T request an invoice - I can't make one, and it screws-up the e-bay system.
International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme. If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid. International postage to the following countries will be shown (this is the latest list that I've seen - lotta countries!) Australia Austria Belgium Bulgaria Canada Croatia Cyprus Czech Republic Denmark Finland France Germany Greece Hungary Ireland Israel Italy Japan Lithuania Luxembourg Malta Netherlands New Zealand Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand Turkey Norway Poland Portugal Romania Russia Slovakia Slovenia Spain Sweden, United States, Antigua & Barbuda Aruba Bangladesh Barbados Belize Bermuda Bolivia Brunei Darussalam Cambodia Cayman Islands Dominica Ecuador Egypt French Guiana Gibraltar Grenada Guadeloupe Guernsey Iceland Jersey Jordan Liechtenstein Macau Maldives Martinique Monaco Montserrat Nicaragua Oman Pakistan Paraguay Peru Reunion Saint Kitts & Nevis Saint Lucia Sri Lanka and Turks & Caicos Islands Applicable customs charges will probably be shown to buyers in non-EU countries - E-Bay collects customs duty for the receiving country, wherever import duty is appropriate. If you don't want to pay the customs charges, do not bid.
I don't send to China (because I prefer not to), and I also don't send to Japan, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru, as importation of vinyl records is not permitted in their customs regulations.
