Overall Very Good Condition 4x 12" VINYL LP BOX SET on UK OLDBOURNE PRESS DEOB 1/2/3/4 AMS (Stereo) copyright 1964 Living Shakespeare...Various Actors/Actresses 'LIVING SHAKESPEARE: HAMLET/MACBETH/OTHELLO/KING LEAR'. The set comprises 4 Vinyl 12" LPs, each with its own accompanying 30 - 40 page book measuring approx. 25 x 30 cms..each book has the complete relevant play, the acting version plus notes and glossary. All parts are contained in an outer heavy board box.
Condition notes: the outer box is basically sound apart from a split bottom r/h corner. It is somewhat scruffy with some abrasions and marks. Each record, contained in a plain white inner sleeve with cut-out centres, is MINT and it's quite likely that none of them have ever been played (there are no spindle marks) but as I don't know the full history I can't claim with any certainty that that's the case. Individual LP sleeves manufactured by Garrod & Lofthouse are beautifully clean with fold-over seams. Unfortunately, due to inadequate packaging to stop the movement of the records inside the outer box during transit, the top seams have split on each album..the splits are variable in length and measure from 2 - 5 cms. In my opinion the splits are not too unsightly. The four books are very clean and uncreased and show no wear whatsoever.
To keep postage costs down the whole set will be posted as two separate small parcels: 1. books and box together and 2. four albums together.
