Description
For sale is "THE SOUL OF JAZZ PERCUSSION," on Riverside 9S-8, Stereo, DG, 1962. This fantastic collection features Philly Joe Jones, Max Roach, Art Blakey, Elvin Jones, Arthur Taylor, Kenny Clarke, Jimmy Cobb, Louis Hayes and Albert Heath.
SOUND: MINT It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Brilliant, sharp playback! Doesn't get any better!
VINYL: MINT I rarely grade vinyl "mint," but anything less would be an insult! I don't believe the record was ever previously removed from the inner sleeve, let alone played. The vinyl looks brand-new. The deep-grooved black "mike-n-reel" labels are pristine, no marks of any kind! Absolutely lovely record!
JACKET: NM The edges and spine are solid all-around, in very nice condition. Corners have a touch of minor, routine wear. Front and back covers are clean, bright, and unmarked, in very nice condition, with a trace amount of routine wear. Overall outstanding condition.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
