up for auction today is a 1985 issued 6x12" Vinyl LP boxset by various artists titled 'Dr Demento: Greatest Novelty Records of All-Time'. Dr Demento ran a radio show for decades (it seems) devoted to the deliberately (sometime not deliberate) oddball and comedy records that have floated around the Rock scene since it's beginnings. this is a repackaging of the Rhino series of 'Greatest Novelty Records' albums by Decade (plus the Xmas album) into a big box set, hand numbered and signed. its the THE best compilation of Novelty/Comedy records you will find on the market, limited to probably 150000 copies (small at the time). Rhino Records RNBC 490 in Big Red textured box, albums in textured, embossed covers, Rhino label printed inners in full color single pocket sleeve, with Rhino label printed inner, 16pp liner notes booklet, hand signed and numbered (#7079) track listing card. hello! for my latest round of Ebay Auctions, I will be selling some of my collection of Vinyl Album/10"/45rpm 'Extras'. These will mainly consist of discs I am willing clear out, some after owning for Decades. this is no indication of lack of quality of the music. I have quite a bit of this material to sell, in a wide variety of genres. So if you are interested in Vinyl, keep an eye out for my listings in the next couple of months (currently late October 2025). Listings will be in alpha order by artist name.
NOTE - shipping costs will be higher for Vinyl pieces. To ensure safety in shipping, I bought new vinyl shipping boxes, cardboard inserts & paper inner sleeves.
1 - All opened pieces will be shipped with vinyl separate from cover & inner sleeve (if printed), in a white paper Inner sleeve, and protective clear outer sleeve (as long as I have them) 2 - I will also be placing handmade corner protection pieces in the box. 3 - If you are an experienced buyer, you probably have a habit of cleaning any new record you buy. but this is a reminder, especially on the older pieces. 4 - pay attention to the condition description part of listing: that is where I will state any splits, Cover wear and defects in vinyl.
All pieces are complete, unless stated. NOTE I am a private collector selling off his music, I am NOT a dealer. I have sold via ebay in the past, and have restarted after retiring in December 2020. My feedback rating is accurate: I am an efficient and reliable seller.
