Description

Vaughan Williams 6th Symphony The Lark Ascending Sir Adrian Boult New Philarmonia Orchestra Hugh Bean Solo Violin
EMI ASD 2329 - Reissue - Nimbus Records Supercut (mastered and pressed for the readers of Practical Hifi)
LP is in almost NM condition. I heard perhaps 2 faint pops/ticks on the entire record. Beautiful sound! Cover is in EX++ condition, still with its cellophane covering.
The performances are legendary. Vaughan Williams 6th symphony is one of his great masterpieces and it receives an extraordinarily intense and fired up performance by Sir Adrian Boult, who gave the premiere performance back in 1948.
There are many recordings of The Lark Ascending but perhaps none have come as close to capturing the lyrical beauty of the piece as this from Hugh Bean.
This comes from a large collection of LPs that a former music professor has asked me to sell on his behalf.  There are some real treasures which I will post from time to time when I can. Please look at the other records I've listed today.
If you purchase more than one LP, wait for me to contact you before paying as I will revise the postage costs, and send you an adjusted invoice.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
I do not grade the records by visual inspection, but instead I listen to them in their entirety. I have not attempted to clean any of the records, and none of them have been cleaned professionally.
