Description
This is part of a large auction of blues, doo-wop & R&B 45's on Chicago-based labels from the 1950's/early 60's. Several Chess, Checker, Vee-Jay and more. Many promos mixed in. Even a few from more obscure labels.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1956
Notes: Maroon label 1st pressing. Earlier single by Hooker, his third on Vee-Jay. A-side is the stellar track Dimples, one of JLH's best known songs, from the "I'm John Lee Hooker" LP. It's a great, driving, guitar blues track. B-side has some unusual muted guitar playing over Hooker's trademark vocals. Great stuff!
Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in really good shape overall with just some very light scuffing in spots and a few pressing dimples. Looks very clean and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all. Labels are nice with no marks/tearing/stickers. This is a nice copy overall.
