Description
This is part of a large auction featuring blues, R&B and doo-wop, all from Chicago-based labels. There is a lot of great stuff here from many Chicago artists including Little Walter, Muddy Waters and other forefathers of the genre with few bonus listings as well.

Release: The Spaniels - I Lost You / Crazee Babee
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1958
Notes: White label promo first pressing. Later single by this group out of Des Moines, Iowa and led by Pookie Hudson. They apparently got the name from a group member's wife who said they sounded like a bunch of dogs. Classic 50's doo-wop sound on this one.
Vinyl Condition: VG+, Vinyl itself is in great shape and super-clean with almost no wear at all, just a couple of very feint marks. It plays well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. Labels have some dirtiness and discoloration due to storage in humid conditions. This is a tough grade, I think it's right on the line between VG & VG+. I usually side with play grade so that bumps it just over the line for me.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. Check back in a couple of weeks for another new genre auction: dance records from the 70's to the early 2000's.
