Description

This is part of a large auction featuring Vee-Jay/King/Federal labels. Lots of cool blues, R&B and doo-wop here, with some bonus listings as always. Check back in a couple of weeks for a small label R&B auction.

Release: Eddie Taylor - I'm Gonna Love You / Looking For Trouble

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1957


Notes: Maroon label original first pressing. The last of five singles on Vee-Jay from this obscure Chicago bluesman. The sound here is in the classic Chicago Blues style.  The vocals aren't quite as distinct as Wolf or Waters, but the guitar work is every bit as good. Hard to find record.


Vinyl Condition: VG++, Vinyl itself is in great shape with just a couple of small, superficial scuffs on each side. It plays well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. Labels are super-clean with no tears/stickers/writing. This is a very nice copy overall.


Sleeve Condition: VG, outer sleeve is blank, but I believe it's original. Has some wrinkling and some numbers marked on it. No tears/splits or writing. Top edge is a bit ruffled.
