Description
This is part of a large auction of blues, doo-wop & R&B 45's on Chicago-based labels from the 1950's/early 60's. Several Chess, Checker, Vee-Jay and more. Many promos mixed in. Even a few from more obscure labels.
Here's the info on this item:
Release: John Lee Hooker - Boogie Chillun / Tennessee Blues
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1959
Notes: White label promo 1st pressing. A-side is a re-recording of the absolute classic of classics here, maybe the single song most responsible for the Chicago Blues sound. B-side is another remake, this time of a very old blues song, that was featured in The Blues Brothers movie.
Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape with hardly any wear at all. Looks very clean and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all. Tennessee side label is nice with no marks/tearing/stickers. Just the slightest bit of scuffing. Boogie side is mostly nice, but does have a small edge tear on the left. This is a nice copy overall.
I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.
I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item. If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
