Velvet Underground and Andy Warhol Pop Goes Art rare limited edition German box set
This is not a box set of LPs or CDs but a very rare limited edition (2,000) catalogue box for the Andy Warhol & Velvet Underground exhibition entitled ‘Pop Goes Art’ held in Hamburg in1990.
Condition of box: Excellent-

The box contains:
· Glossy folder of loose-leaf art-paper reproductions of: 7 b&w photos of the Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, Nico and Edie Sedgwick; 4 full colour and one b&w 1960s Velvets posters; 1 photo of Andy Warhol; 2 photos of Gerard Malanga; 4 pages from ‘The East Village Other’ including two VU adverts with photos; 2 pages from ‘Film Culture – Expanded Arts’ 1966 featuring Jonas Mekas’s Film Journals
· 48-page book (text in German) covering the Exploding Plastic Inevitable, Andy Warhol, the Velvet Underground in film and a discography, with many b&w and colour photos
· Illustrated 8-page booklet on ‘New York’s Underground’
· Large exhibition poster
· Leporello of photos of the Velvet Underground’s 1990 reunion at the Fondation Cartier in France
· Silver 'Pop Goes Art' balloon
· 4-track mini-CD by the German band Rausch including ‘Heroin’ and ‘Pale Blue Eyes’
The box has some light scuffing to the corners and a small amount of wear to the underside. The contents are all either near-mint or excellent. The balloon is intact but no longer flexible.
