Hi there my friends,
Up for sale is a stellar copy of the Velvet Underground's brilliant "Loaded." After making esoteric and imaginative rock, the band quipped they finally would give the record label what they wanted: an album "loaded" with hits. The result is brilliant.
The vinyl is in wonderful condition, and very clean. It in all honesty does not look like it has been played very much. I try to grade stricter than otherwise, and spying a few minor scratches (even visibly a bit challenging to come across) I grade the vinyl as EX and likely suitable for NM- consideration. Clean labels. It plays wonderfully without disruptions or unwanted skips or repeats. Epic listen from beginning to end.
Album cover is in decent shape as well. A promo die-cut towards top left. Love the original hype stickers attached: a promotional sticker and the legendary "featuring Lou Reed." Classic.
NOTE point of consideration: I believe this is a first pressing issued by Atlantic that was not printed with a white label promo. It could be that this originally housed a vinyl with the white label and someone placed a standard orig issue inside (what is featured here). This is my suspicion, because promo issues of this LP DO usually have a white label. Sometimes companies simply issued the LP with a die cut and didn't print it as a white label. Which leads me to say: vinyl is original, and so is the cover and hype/promo sticker/promo cut, but the record itself is not a white label promo. FYI.
