Description

This auction is for a first pressing (1967-stereo version) of the Velvet Underground & Nico record produced by Andy Warhol on Verve Records. It has the banana sticker cover with sticker unpeeled. It has the picture of some guy on the back that was removed for legal reasons in later re-issues. Says V6-5008 on back (if that means anything to you). Comes with the original inner liner sleeve thingy. I will ship international but sorry I don't have time to answer "how much to my country" emails.

I don’t know anything about records so I will not attempt to grade it. I will attempt to describe its condition in detail.

Spine is in good condition, is tight and has no chips
The spine’s top corner is slightly blunted
Has my mom’s last name discretely written on back near top left corner.
Front and back cover have some scuffing from being stored up next to other records.
There is a 3.5cm crease on cover near the top (see pic)
Banana sticker has never been peeled but it shows some age and has a couple of nicks along the edges
Pin prick size hole in cover near point of banana

The edge opposite the spine has some chips on it/ a slightly blunted edge in places
inside of the cover looks nice with only a little scuffing.

Record
Side 1 is nearly flawless. Only a few tiny smudges/streaks.

Side 2 has an imperfection. It’s too superficial to be called scratch, I would call it a scuff – it looks like something rubbed up against the record while it was in its cover. The scuff runs in an arc about 4cm long and 1mm wide. There are a few other tiny streaks and smudges
Both sides also show a little light scuffing on the blue label part from what I assume is the record player
