Description
You are bidding on "THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO " in STEREO, produced by ANDY WARHOL, recorded in 1966 in and released in March, 1967.
This album is number thirteen on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
In 1982, musician Brian Eno famously stated that while The Velvet Underground & Nico initially only sold 30,000 copies, "everyone who bought one of those 30,000 copies started a band". (Wikipedia)
This has been sitting in a collection of other vinyl in a taped up box for many decades. The cover is pretty worn, there is no sleeve. As you can see in the photo, the banana is partially removed. The record is in good condition, has some superficial scuffs/scratches but nothing deep. Label is in good condition. I do not have a turntable to test it, sorry.
