Description

If you know anything about collecting vinyl, you would know that this is one of the holy grails of record collecting.

The last one in this good of condition that recently sold on eBay for $2,025.

Here's a link to that auction so you can verify my information;

These usually go anywhere from $500-$2,000, depending on the shape it's in. I have to admit, this is in very good shape compared to some I have seen. The cover has very light wear, which is difficult to hide on albums with a white cover. It is visible, as you can see by the dark areas on the picture. The banana is UNPEELED. Still attached, and looks like it has never been touched or attempted to peel. Along the banana, there are two very, VERY small tears, but it never detaches the sticker from the cover, maybe half-inch at the most. Hardly noticeable, you can't even see them in the photos. The spine is excellent, very stiff with only a little wear along the top. The inside gatefold is wonderful, but it contains the only thing that will subtract from this item's actual value - the previous and only owner wrote their initials on the inside cover, and also the back of the cover. AMT. Maybe those are your initials, and this could be your very own personalized copy...! The back cover is in good shape as well, with the exception of the initials, of course, and it also has a small line on the back that looks something may have dripped on it. Only at the very bottom left, and only a couple inches up. I don't think it is water or liquid damage, I'm not quite sure what it is. It may even come off. The actual vinyl is still inside the original VERVE sleeve, which is in great shape. I do not have a functioning turntable at the moment to test this, but this record looks very good. A couple of very light surface scratches, very small spindle marks, but it still has a good amount of sheen and luster left. I will confidently say this will play 100% without even listening. A beautiful copy.

OVERALL GRADE : Cover VG+, Vinyl VG++/EX-

See photos for the actual items you are bidding on. Besides the initials written on the inside and back, this will be as good of a copy that you will see for sale for a while. They don't come around very often. There is NO punch hole on the cover, which is often seen on these MONO first pressings, and also, the banana is fully intact. What a great find.

This is highly regarded as one of the greatest and most influential albums of all time, and this is the ORIGINAL 1st pressing of the LP in MONO version. It has the original back cover photo which was pulled by the label after a lawsuit was threatened by the person who's photo was used on the back of the album cover.

I just inherited a vinyl collection and have found some real gems. This is definitely the most valuable of the bunch. I am very hesitant to sell this item, but I want this to go to someone who is a bigger fan than I of the band and Andy Warhol, and vinyl collecting.

If you need to know more about this album, I suggest you Google it to see how very rare and seldomly circulated this LP is. There are a lot of interesting facts about this album, and many different pressings and reissued versions. This one is the one that will define your collection.

Please check out my other auctions. I will combine shipping, and we can figure that our later. I have albums for sale by The Music Machine, Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa, Love, Traffic, Them, Van Morrison, TS Bonniwell, The Nice, The Easybeats, The Animals, The Byrds, and many titles that are highly sought after in the vinyl collecting business. Keep me bookmarked!

PAYPAL ONLY. No exceptions. Deadbeat bidders will be banned from eBay. You will be reported and you will be punished.

FREE DOMESTIC shipping if this auction hits my reserve - which I'm sure it will. If not, I might just keep it...!

International Bidders be prepared to pay for insurance and all of the extras, this is not going standard if shipping out of the US.
