I listed the B side first. Sunday Morning is the actual A side.

This is a USA pressing. The Matrix # is hand written in two parts VK 10466 and 101592 on Sunday Morning side. Femme Fatale side is hand written as well but about half the size (looks like someone else may have written in the dead wax VK 10466 (V looks more like a U) 100903. the VK 10466 is written closer to the label then the 100903.
I am currently consulting the webmaster at the Velvet Underground Web Page in an attempt to properly identify this record. I have I spoke to a friend in Russia and his theory is this might be an early press (before blue label) that was rejected , had the hole punched and sent to Canada as a promo. A "one off" copy perhaps.
Any input from anyone would be appreciated.
On 07-Sep-09 at 12:13:42 EDT, seller added the following information:The matrix numbers are missing the -1 on them which is on the blue label stock and promo USA pressings which means this record was pressed elsewhere. I've been told that the early editions of VU LPs have variations in label and matrix numbers,
because some were pressed on the West Coast and others on the East Coast. It looks like that could be the same with this single.
Regardless this is the first time a BLACK LABEL Verve USA pressing of this single has appeared which makes this record rarer then the elusive black label Canadian pressing (4-5 known copies).
I have been told this is the only known copy of a Black Label USA in VU collectors circles. It was not even thought to exist until this auction began.
