This is the first US stereo pressing of WHITE LIGHT / WHITE HEAT, released 1968 on Verve (V6-5046). There is at least two variants of the stereo edition with this catalog number. This one is regarded as the East Coast pressing. Many copies include features consistent with early editions (such as the skull on the cover). This copy includes features particular to the East Coast press.
1) tracklisting on the back mis-states "Here She Comes Now" as "There She Comes Now" 2) Andy Warhol IS credited on the back for Cover Concept 3) Lou Reed is credited for LEAD Guitar instead of just Guitar 4) Three Prong Music publishing is credited on the label for all tracks 5) spine reads V6-5046 (obscured by edge wear) WHITE LIGHT / WHITE HEAT THE VELVET UNDERGROUND VERVE 6) skull is visible on the front cover
Grading is subject to YOUR eyes and ears, backed by my return policy (see below). Regardless of what anyone says, there is no OBJECTIVE standard for grading used records. I have complete CONFIDENCE in my assessment but I am more than happy to accomodate yours. Between us, you are the Record God.
I do not give out grades above vg+ for anything that has been removed from its original packaging.
vinyl = vg; there is one scratch (near the end of "The Gift", unnoticed by me because it is a very loud track) quantifiable by touch but it plays without skipping; sparse sleeve scuffs otherwise betray very little surface noise cover = vg+; light rubbing is visible in bright light; light edge wear, NO splitting label = vg; owner's name is inscribed on Side 2
