The Velvet Underground - White Light, White Heat - UK 1968 - 12" vinyl LP - rare
Verve VLP 9201 mono
I'm aware this is probably overpriced - NOW REDUCED - so make me an offer!!
Silver & black Verve labels with "Made in Gt Britain" text.
Front-laminated outer with "Also available in Stereo..." & "File under..." text.
As far as I can make out from internet sources, this original UK mono release was never re-pressed or re-issued.

Disc - 'Very Good plus'
The disc still retains some of its original vinyl gloss, but with many fine scuffs, hairlines & more-visible marks.
The labels are good, clean, legible, with noticeable spindle-marking & some wear visible around the centre hole.
There is a cigarette burn on side 1 at the junction of label & vinyl, at 11 o'clock.
This has caused some damage to the vinyl, where the final runout groove is affected; tiny damage to the label, and is visible on the other side.
Plays very well, with pops & crackles noticeable at the start of each side and diminishing to tolerable levels within a minute or two.
Sleeve - 'Very Good'
The front-laminated outer is complete, no rips, no splits, generally good laminate, skull artwork well-preserved - see photos.
There are numerous small creases with laminate-lifts, and a cigarette-burn front-centre which has gone through the laminate but not the card.
The back is grubby, stained, creased & with several bits of ink writing; the corners are bumped - see photos.
The spine has cross-creases, but is otherwise good, square & legible - see photos.
Will supply new poly-lined paper inner.

Condition Guide
"MINT - M: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT - Ex: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD - VG: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD - G: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler."
Note - I don't use 'Mint' as a description - and I don't sell less-than-'Good'.
