Description
Classic Velvet Underground double live LP, originally issued on vinyl in the US in 1987. Originals now sell for up to $120!
This is number 172 from an exclusive super-limted edition of 300 copies only, in hand-numbered spray painted covers. This run, mastered from the CD issue, was pressed in 2012 and quickly sold out.
one LP black, one marbled, with rubber stamps on plain labels. Sleeve and records as close to Mint as possible, played once only! Title track recprded in Cleveland, April 1968 with John Cale. Legendary but otherwise undocumented improvised 40 minute intro to Sister Ray.

"the first record offers about 40 minutes of Sweet Sister Ray intro to Sister Ray! Second record has the famous blasting 'guitar amp' Sister Ray. Back cover says side 3 is from Second Fret, Philadelphia, Jan 1970 but this version comes actually from the December 12, 1968 Boston Tea Party tape and is sometimes considered as the best version ever. Definitely E.S.S.E.N.T.I.A.L.!"
