Description
Venice conducted by George Solti with the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. This is the long out-of-print and hard-to-find Classic Records reissue of RCA LSC-2313.
This is one of the few (4?) deluxe classical editions by Classic Records, such as the Royal Ballet Gala/Ansermet, Milhaud Creation of the World/Munch, and Iberia/Morel. It not only has the gatefold cover with the cutouts, but also includes the beautiful full-color pages about the music and the city (just as in the original RCA album) as seen in the photos. This album also includes the 2-sided Classic Records insert (see the last photo) that originally was included in the record sleeve.
This is the 180g pressing preferred by most audiophiles. It is in beautiful Near Mint condition.
