Description
Venom Canadian Assault Vinyl 12” LP 1985 Banzai BAM 1002 First Pressing RARE
This is the rare first pressing, mini-LP, of Venom - Canadian Assault on Banzai/Neat Records from 1985.
A side 3 tracks are recorded live.
B side 3 tracks are studio recorded.
The vinyl itself is in excellent condition. Side A is nearly flawless. Side B has only couple hairline scratches visible with ring light.
Listened to the entire album. No jumps, skips, hangs, or warps. Plays perfectly and sounds great.
The album comes in the original poly sleeve.
The outer cover has the original original shrink wrap, plastic wrap is torn on back upper corner section. There is significant warping to the cardboard. I would say there are 3-4 “waves” on the front and the back of the cover. (I added 2 photos showing the defect best I could under the light) . I read there is a way to iron the cover to smooth it out, that would be a possible fix to completely flatten it out.
The opened edge is smooth, but there is some bump wear damage to the corners.
You can zoom in on the photos to get a better look, or send me a message and I will be happy to take any more close up photos for you if needed.
This album has been record crate stored since the mid 1980s.
Track Listing:
A1 Die Hard
A2 Welcome To Hell
A3 In Nomine Satanas
B1 Warhead
B2 Women
B3 7 Gates Of Hell
Matrix/Runout/Etchings:
**Note regarding the runouts. My variant of the “DM”number doesn’t match what I found listed on online forums. Just wanted to note this for collectors looking for specific runouts, or anyone wanting to do further research. Could just be a variant that’s been “un-cataloged” up to this point. Let me know if you need close up photos of the DM number etchings **
(Side A): BAM 1002A THIS SNB230 DM - 3
(Side B): BAM 1002B THAT SNB DM - 7
Catalog Number: BAM 1002
I use a ring light to highlight any noticeable scuffs or scratches in my vinyl auctions. Also helps to better highlight the runout etchings, which will indicate the exact version of the release.
I listen to all the albums prior to auction and will reference any jumps, skips, warps, repeats, etc. Or anything that will effect play in my listing. I will also always indicate in my description any deep scratching that would invoke a loud pop in the audio during playback.
I also don’t use any disc cleaning or disc washing system. So any residual dust or smudges have not been removed.
With that being said, I want to be as clear and honest to the exact condition of each listing, and depict any imperfections as well as I can with the ring light.
