Verdi, Aida, Vienna Philarmonic, Karajan, Decca SXL 2167-9, Wide Band grooved, ED1, 3LP.
Rare original first UK stereo pressing 3LP set on Decca.
First edition, Original Recording. Record 1 (2167) is in vg + condition plays really well throughout, with minor background crackle consistent with age. Couple of small marks and on side 1 there are 4 audible pops in one small section, but no jumps. Records 2168 and 2168 are both strong vg+- clean, with lovely sheen and barely any surface marks. Again, some minor background crackle can be heard in quieter passages, consistent with age of record and which could be improved with professional clean.
Outer, gate-fold, plastic sleeve is intact. There is some light staining round the edges. The left-hand, thin inner plastic sheet has become torn along the edge but is still attached. The equivalent, right-hand sleeve has smaller split/tear along top. Both sides hold able to contain records and booklet inside.
Original booklet, with lyrics and notes is very good condition, without splits or tears. A small area of glue/sticker residue to top-edge of front cover.
Original FFSS inner sleeves are in excellent condition.
International Postage includes tracking and will be fully insured, worldwide, £30.
