Description

Very Rare radio promotional advertising record for 1931 film "Dirigible" 12-inch, one-sided 78rpm Radio Announcement Trailer Transcription for Frank Capra film, produced by Columbia Pictures Corp. This disc contains 3 different "tracks", each track a different advertisement . Dirigible / air-ship noises begin the recordings, after which announcer talks about film and announces the World Premier of the film . . . Announcer states:  "Gala World Premier next Tuesday evening at Grauman's Chinese Theater"  Produced for local Hollywood / Los Angeles radio play, this rare transcription obviously had an extremely short period of use, mere days before the world premier of the movie took place. With such ephemeral use, it's amazing this record has survived the years. Recorded at Freeman Lang studios, and pressed by Columbia Records (see photo of Columbia backplate with large music note) Excellent condition . . . Media Mail is $6.50 . . .
