Description

Early 1950's recordings from Billy Ward & his Dominoes. One side is "Tenderly" a 1954 recording when Jackie Wilson was singing lead vocals, having replaced Clyde McPhatter when he left to form the Drifters. The other side is "Harbour Lights" with Clyde on lead. For a while it was available in the States as the group's second single, but only on 78rpm (Federal 12010 released in 1950). It later turned up on the 1958 LP "Billy Ward and his Dominoes" (Federal 548). This Ember 45 is in excellent condition, in both look and sound quality with label and vinyl exceptionally clean. The audio output has been checked using an "audio-technica" AT-LP120-USB direct drive professional turntable while viewing the "Audacity" spectrographic representation on play through.
