Description

A very rare copy of Billy Ward and the Dominoes. An influential band from the 1950's that featured Clyde McPhatter, then Jackie Wilson, had 12 Top Ten hits from 1951-1957 including two that reached #1. Released on the DECCA Records label, record # DL 8621. From 1958, features the black and silver DECCA label with "Long Play DECCA 33 1/3 RPM" at the top and "Microgroove unbreakable" at the bottom. Songs include many of their standards. 

Side one features the songs "To Each His Own", "St. Therese Of The Roses ", "September Song", "St. Louis Blues", "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling", and "The Kingdom Come".

Side 2 features "Evermore", "I Don't Stand A Ghost Of A Chance With You", "Am I Blue?", "Will You Remember", "Oh, Lady Be Good" and "When The Saints Go Marchin In".

The condition of the vinyl is bordering on excellent with no sleeve surface marking and no scratches or smudges, still very shiny. Very minor spindle marking indicates it was rarely played. The generic inner sleeve is in excellent condition with no rips, creases or splits. If you are a collector who likes to listen to your collection, this copy is near perfect. The cover is in very good plus condition with it's fibreglass texture. The bottom edge has started to split from the bottom right corner and in the bottom middle and the record was removed to prevent any further splitting. The rest of the edges are damage free. There is no writing anywhere on the front. The back has a $119 price stamped on it and a small blue star stamped on it as well. Very strong condition for an old cover. The album will be shipped securely to prevent any damage in transit. An excellent collectible.
