Well-known drum'n'bass producer, DJ, and head of the Good Looking Organization of labels and artists. Widely acknowledged to be one of the leading figures in the realm of atmospheric or intelligent jungle. His handle comes from the catchphrase "Book 'em, Danno" from the TV show Hawaii Five-O, which was popular when he was growing up. Born 1967 in London, started out playing house in the late 80's and early 90's before setting up his Good Looking label and releasing seminal jungle tracks like "Demon's Theme" and "Music", as well as the popular Logical Progression series of compilations. Still producing and touring the world today.

This compilation is so staggeringly beautiful; every track is utterly breathtaking. it really cut against the grain. The majority of tracks are down tempo and coupled with the fact that this LP was released to a drum and bass audience who, particularly at the time, were extremely wary of the perceived watering down of their sound, was a bold move on the part of Good Looking Records. The compilation, albeit not in the same malevolent vein as much of the music at the time, was no less experimental or indeed diluted. So far for me, Volume 5 is by far and away the cream of the Earth series..
