This one is extremely rare and a great thing to own if you collect or like The Rolling Stones. On sale is the Dutch EMI test pressing of The Rolling Stones' 1978 Some Girls album. The matrix is different from the copy I sold last year (CUN 39108 A 61016-A-4Y-STERLING and the same and B-4Y for the B side). Only a handful of these were made and fewer have survived. This comes from a collection of one of the children of an EMI producer who has kept it stored for over 40 years and has hardly played it. The sleeve has Rolling Stones and Rolling St 062-61016 written on it and is stamped Proefpersing (Dutch for test pressing). The record itself has a white Proefpersing label on the A side and a white label on the B side. The sheet with details on the album (cue sheet) is missing. The record sounds good even though it looks a bit dirty. There are a few ticks on the first song (Miss You) but it doesn't skip (not on my turntable at least). The sleeve itself is in a good condition with some small holes as shown in the pictures. I have the feeling the plastic innersleeve is deteriorating slightly as there was some plastic on the album, which could be removed easily, when I took it out to play it.There are no tears, but it is over 40 years old and it looks like that. There's a curled ballpoint sign on the backsleeve. If you need more pictures, just ask. Registered shipping only!
