This listing is for one original vintage metal 45 RPM record adapter from Chile.

Unlike the colorful plastic adapters commonly found in North America and Europe, this example is made from stamped metal and has a distinctly utilitarian design. The adapter appears to have been produced with function rather than appearance in mind, giving it a unique industrial character rarely seen among 45 RPM adapters.

The adapter features two stamped markings on one side. One marking appears to read "SLG," while the second resembles an "M" within a shield or triangular emblem. The exact manufacturer remains uncertain, though examples of this style have been found in Chile and appear to be associated with Chilean record production and distribution.

What makes this adapter particularly desirable is its extreme rarity. Chilean record adapters are seldom encountered, and metal examples such as this are among the hardest 45 RPM adapters to locate. Many longtime adapter collectors have never seen one in person. Even among international adapter collections, Chilean metal adapters are rarely represented.

The crude stamped construction suggests production in relatively small quantities compared to the mass-produced adapters issued by major American and European record companies. Surviving examples appear infrequently, making this a significant piece for serious adapter collectors.
