Description
This is a unique set of Bach's organ works performed on historical organs of his time. The organs were located in different cathedrals that I cannot identify since the liner notes, which are extensive, and show organ pictures, are written in German which I do not read. I cannot find on the Internet that these records were ever made, after hours of looking. They do not exist as far as I can find on EMI's own listing of Direct Metal Masters and that is why I rate them "very rare".. I did find on the records themselves that they were pressed in Germany under the His Master's Voice label with the shaded dog type symbol. This is a German version pressed in Germany by Teldec on its Direct Metal Master system. The box set number is 27 0197 3. There does seem to be another version of these records that were pressed on an ordinary press, not the DMM type. Just no indication anywhere of this Direct Metal Master version. Note the pictures of the corners of the box. Otherwise the box is in glossy great shape. There are 19 total records. NO INTERNATIONAL SALES. NO RETURNS.
