Zonophone..Zo cat 7006..Before Oct. 1900..Oh promise me.. Edward Franklin ..DHAR...This is of course a very early recording of the famous recording artist Emilio DeGogorza....It will be carefully wrapped in a new box. I have a good record with my packing.
Now one thing that is important with early Zonophone recordings is the way that the title and information is printed. The earliest Zonophones had a most unique style of writing, the individual who did this writing did almost all of the early Zonophones from 1899 to 1900. This would be replaced by printed information starting in late 1900. Many of the earliest Zonophone's would still be available till the stampers gave out.
This record seems to be an acid etched type, copying the method used by Berliner. It has that type of surface. These early recordings were not ones to have a silent surface.
Very good for its age and its date of recording. Be it 1899 or 1900. I have recorded it, and you can see it here......
