Description

We have here a very rare, early blues record recorded 19 October 1923. Margaret Johnson is accompanied by the Clarence Williams Blue Five (Thomas Morris, Clarinet; Charlie Irvis Tbn; Sidney Bechet sop, Clarence Williams pno and Buddy Christian bnj). This is a very rare record, especially in this condition. Plays loud and clear for an acoustically recorded disc, with some noise and crackle. There is an edge chip on E flat blues, into grooves but not into music. A nice record.
