Victor 10.5” 78 RPM One Sided in-Plant Test Record (Ted Weems) “My Favorite Band” VG+ Visible Condition, scratches but play is very nice with some noise. LAST THREE I HAVE. Victor 10.5” 78 RPM very thick One Sided (in plant engineered not for sale) Test/Sample Record “(My Favorite Band”. This was one of the engineered samples pressed prior to release. The labelled area around spindle hole is hand written “BVE 56899  Feb. 16, 1931 704 3010-E “My Favorite Band Weems Orch “ +6/0 5-3”. I bought these in an estate sale lot about 30 years ago and put them away for safekeeping (They were definitely safe as it took 30 years to find them in all my collection). According to his family the deceased worked as a sound engineer for Victor Talking Machine Co and later RCA Victor from the 1920’s until he retired and these are samples he kept that were “tweaked” by Victor sound engineers to get the best play. The sound is quite good despite the scratches. Released by Victor Feb. 16, 1931 as Victor Scroll 22656.

Record is basically unplayable. What you keep because you can?t bear to toss ? while you look for that E+ copy of Robert Johnson on Vocalion at the local flea markets for $1 (Good Luck!)
