Description

Husband and wife team Nora Bayes and Jack Norworth wrote “Shine on, Harvest Moon” for the Ziegfeld Follies of 1908.  Miss Walton is probably a pseudonym for Elsie Stevenson, a soprano who sang on Victor Light Opera discs.   Harry Macdonough (1871-1931) was a tenor surpassed in popularity in the acoustic era only by Henry Burr.   Miss Walton and Mr. Macdonough sing “Shine on, Harvest Moon,” recorded on December 23, 1908.  On the flip side tenor Harry Talley (1866-1939), a member of the Empire City Quartet, sings “In the Good Old Country Days,” recorded January 22, 1909.   Groove wear, few light scratches, plays crisp and clear.  Condition V++
