“Keep On The Sunny Side” / “River Of Jordan” Carter Family. VG+ Condition: most Carter Family are played out but this is much better than normally found. “Sunny Side” is one of their all time greatest tunes and the message needed during the Depression.
Two pounds media mail and packed right in our “made for shipping records” boxes because your 78 is worthless if it arrives broken and blaming it on the post office is not business – it’s bull.
NOTE: All disks make noise but generally the more scratches and wear the more noise. All grading is subjective and done by looks (I include a high resolution picture to let you examine and decide for yourself) and how it plays on my electric record player. Your equipment may be better or worse than mine and play may also be better or worse. I have recently converted to “standard record grading”. How we grade:
E++, Nearly new with no visible signs of wear or damage.
E+, Looks & plays like new, with very, very few signs of handling
E+/E, In-between grade
E, Still very shiny, near new looking, with slight visible signs of wear and a few nearly inaudible scuffs and scratches
E/E-, In-between grade
E-, Still shiny but without the luster of a new record, few light scratches.
VG++, In-between grade
VG+, Slightly above average condition 78 in which scuffs and general use has dulled the finish somewhat. Wear is moderate but playing is generally free from distortion. Surface noise not overly pronounced
VG+/VG, In-between grade
VG, An average condition 78 - moderate wear throughout, but still very playable. Surface somewhat dull with noise and scratches audible but not intrusive.
VG/VG-, In-between grade
VG-, Quite playable still, but distortion and heavy graying in loud passages. Music remains loud in most passages. Surface noise and scratches well below music level.
G++, In-between grade
G+, Quite seriously worn and scratched, but music level is still higher than surface noise. Grey throughout but still serviceable. Music begins to sound muffled.
G+/G, In-between grade
G, Wear and scratch damage extensive. Listening can become uncomfortable as music and surface noise are blending.
G/G-, In-between grade
G-, Music barely audible over surface noise & listening is uncomfortable. Record is borderline unplayable.
